OUR IMPACT ON THE PLANET

the CLIMATE CRISIS
Cultivated meat can minimise our impact on the planet.
It can reduce land use by up to 95%, reduce water use by up to 78% & emit up to 92% less greenhouse gasses.

anIMAL AGRICULTURE
Animal agriculture is one of the most significant contributors to the climate crisis, contributing to 13% of global emissions.
That’s more than all road transport globally.
mass land usage
An area of land larger than the whole of North America and Europe combined is used for meat and dairy production (38% of global habitable land).
Our cultivated meat can reduce this by 95%.

water CONSUMPTION
Globally, 30% of all fresh water is used for animal production in the meat industries worldwide.
Our cultivated meat can reduce this by up to 78%.

anTIBIOTICS
USAGE
It is estimated 70% of antibiotics globally are used in animal agriculture.
Our cultivated meat will not require any.

ANIMAL WELFARE
50 billion chickens, 1.4 billion pigs and 300 million cows are slaughtered each year for the meat industry.
We take a one-time sample from a single egg. Beyond this, we do not use anything sourced from an animal meaning no animals are harmed or killed in creating our meat.
